Minnesota High School Fencing

The deadline for entries for the SPA Invitational is Saturday, January 12.  No late entries that change the number of pools needed for an event will be allowed.  It will up the discretion of the bout committtee.  T-Shirts orders are complete as of January 8, 2008.

You can now pre-register for both the SPA Invitational and States on AskFred!  Each meet is offering a drifit t-shirt with tournament logo and names on the t-shirt for states.  SPA Invitational shirt will be white with navy lettering and the States shirt will be navy with white lettering!  Shirts are by pre-order only and must be paid for when you check in for the tournament.

Jan 26, 2008    Midwest (Open) High School Championships @ Culver Military Academy
Feb 23, 2008   Minnesota State High School Championships @ SPA


You read correctly!  Midwest OPEN High School Championships.  It will run the weekend before the Great Lakes Conference Championships (which are open to individuals that have attended with their team and coach in at least 3 of the other Great Lakes Conference Events.)

We would like to officially thank the coaches and schools who host the Midwest Championships for finding a compromise solution that allows Minnesota teams to continue to fence at this quality event!

1. Provide a permanent home for Minnesota High School Fencing information and contacts.
   
2. Provide a permanent home for Minnesota High School Fencing tournament information and results.
3. Promote participation in high school fencing in Minnesota by providing a consistent source for information.
4. Provide a place for high school fencers to be part of the larger world of fencing.
   
5. Preserve the history of Minnesota High School Fencing.
